About Me

Cooper with turkeys sitting on his lap

Hello! I’m Cooper, and I’ve been passionate about making games since I was a kid.

I grew up in a rural logging county in southern Washington State, where my family and I heated our home with firewood, raised livestock — including poultry such as chickens and turkeys — and I attended a K–8 grade school with fewer than 80 students.

My journey into game development began when I fell in love with Bethesda Game Studios’ The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and later discovered the world of modding. Being able to change and create content within a game I already loved sparked a lasting passion for game development — one that still drives me today.

While role-playing games hold a special place in my heart, I also enjoy genres that challenge strategic thinking, including grand strategy, real-time strategy, and turn-based strategy games.

Outside of games, I’m deeply interested in history — from the origins of complex life during the Cambrian period (540–480 million years ago), to the rise and fall of the dinosaurs (240–66 million years ago), the birth of civilization and advancements of the Bronze Age (12,000–1,200 BC), Antiquity (700 BC–400 AD), and everything in between, right up to the modern era. I also enjoy exploring a wide range of topics in science, especially astrophysics and biology.

I also have a strong love for nature and animals, which has always been a big part of my life. Spending time outdoors, whether in the woods or just in the backyard, brings me a sense of peace and inspiration. I especially enjoy caring for my pet chickens and turkeys — they’re both companions and a connection to the way I was raised.

As you can probably tell, I love learning new things — and if a day goes by without it, I consider it a wasted one.
